Arma Dei Group was born from a shared calling between three great friends, Ryan Fleming, Mark Rodriguez, and Ryan Thomas—men united by faith, brotherhood, and a deep desire to protect what matters most.
With backgrounds rooted in service, discipline, and integrity, Ryan, Mark and Ryan saw a growing need for private security that goes beyond tactical security that is principled, personal, and purpose driven. Their vision was clear: to create a company that not only safeguards people and property, but also stands as a shield for the vulnerable, the innocent, and those who cannot stand alone.

he Team
Ryan Fleming is a combat veteran who proudly served in the 82nd Airborne Division as an Infantryman. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to national security as an overseas high-threat security contractor, working in special programs for a U.S. intelligence agency. After six years as an OGA operator, Ryan transitioned to serving his local community as a Deputy Sheriff.
Ryan has extensive protective security detail (PSD) experience, including providing protection for General Raymond Odierno, conducting executive protection for high-net-worth individuals during the George Floyd riots, and performing security operations for the Republican National Committee (RNC). His proven ability to operate in volatile, politically sensitive, and high-risk environments has made him a trusted professional in complex protective operations.
His dedication to safeguarding others later led him to serve as a Security Police Officer for the U.S. Department of Energy, where he protected national security assets while holding a Top Secret Q Clearance under the Human Reliability Program (HRP). During this time, he continued to serve part-time as a Deputy Sheriff.
With a career rooted in service, leadership, and high-stakes security operations, Ryan brings unmatched experience and a deep passion for protecting individuals and organizations.
Mark Rodriguez serves as a founding leader of Arma Dei Security Group, bringing a distinguished background in military, law enforcement, and federal protective operations. As a former U.S. Marine, Patrol Officer, and Special Operations Response Officer for the Department of Energy, Mark’s operational experience spans routine patrol duties, tactical interventions, and protection of high-value, high-risk facilities. This diverse background provides the foundation for ADG’s disciplined, intelligence-driven approach to modern security challenges.
At Arma Dei Security Group, Mark leads the development and execution of threat assessments, emergency response planning, and security training programs for churches, schools, and corporate clients. His expertise in behavioral analysis, risk mitigation, and high-threat incident management directly shapes the company’s commitment to offering proactive, faith-aligned, and community-focused safety solutions.

He holds a relevant academic degree and continually advances his professional development to ensure Arma Dei Group remains at the forefront of evolving threats, best practices, and industry standards. Mark’s leadership is central to ADG’s mission: to protect, prepare, and empower communities with excellence and unwavering integrity.
Ryan Thomas is an accomplished senior security professional with over two decades of distinguished service across federal and Department of Defense communities. Proven expertise in executive protection, counterterrorism/antiterrorism, surveillance/countersurveillance, and tactical operations within both CONUS and OCONUS environments.
Served as a Senior Federal Agent for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA/OST), supporting high-threat protective missions safeguarding classified nuclear convoys and national security assets. Directed tactical teams, trained federal agents in advanced firearms and defensive tactics, and established critical SOPs for active shooter and counter-surveillance operations.
Decorated U.S. Marine Corps Platoon Sergeant with extensive combat and dignitary protection experience.
Holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA), B.S. in Criminal Justice, and advanced studies toward a Doctorate in Public Policy (National Security). Known for exceptional leadership, training, and cross-functional coordination among law enforcement, intelligence, and military units, and recognized for operational excellence, mission integrity, and unwavering commitment to national defense.
